10 Ways to Land Your First Client

You've launched your own business - congrats!

Now let's sign that first client 🎉

Whether you're a consultant, an online course creator, just launched a marketing agency, or sell 1:1 coaching sessions - you're going to attract your first client in very similar ways.

And yes - big picture, you'll want to put together a long-term marketing strategy to consistently bring new clients into your world.

But for now, let's focus on 10 things that you can do to move the needle NOW and FAST to start bringing some cash flow into your business.

1. Reach out to your network and let them know what you do. This is super simple, and you already have built-in rapport!

2. Ask your network if they know anyone who is looking for your type of service. Warm referrals are much more likely to buy because there's built-in trust.

3. Join a FB or LinkedIn group and post about your expertise. Make sure you have permission to post, and focus on providing value > selling.

4. If your offer and message are spot-on, consider running a paid ad. You'll get more visibility on your business faster. *Don't do this if you're still trying to perfect your messaging.

5. Ask a local business if you can run a workshop or seminar for their audience. Pitch your services at the end.

6. Connect with another business to see if they would be willing to either 1) Shout out your business in their upcoming email/podcast/social media, or 2) Send referrals your way.

7. Attend and event and focus on having a genuine conversation with 5 people. Tell them what you do. Ask them if they know anyone looking for your services.

8. Reach out to a podcast host in your niche and ask if you can be a guest. Pitch your services at the end.

9. Make a list of local agencies (educational centers, social service centers, etc.) and reach out to them to see if you can promote your services there through a flier, business cards, etc.

10. Submit a press release online. Google 'where to submit free press release' and post about your business. This will allow journalists to see your release and consider writing about it / spreading the news.
